The Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

DK's Real Deal  "Guy" 2004-2011

We will miss you Guy. You had heart like so very few. Your family loved you so. Your training freinds and family love and admired you. Not a Rhumbline by birth but in every other  way.
Thank you so very much for bringing David and Zack into our lives, were it not for you we would never have met and become such wonderful friends.
Thank you for the Tug babies you gave us when no other male could.  We are sorry you will never get to meet them as you have left us just before they are due, but I will be eternally thankful to you for enablaling me to carry on Tugs (and now yours) bloodline when I had all but given up hope for ever having a Tug baby.
Thank you for always being so happy to work and such a wonderful introduction into Labradors for your last and best family.
Thank you for being such an awesome teacher.  It is hard to describe in words all that you have taught Zack and David.  I guess for some reason God decided you had tought them enough.  You taught me that if your heart is big enough, you can over come anything, including a bad start and sitting in a kennel run for two years before finding a great new family who once again allowed you to do that which you loved so much.
Thank you for always trying so hard do it it the right way and never giving up.
Run Fast Guy and may there be more Bumpers up there then you can ever want.
